Jem Militant killed in ongoing Kulgam encounter, another trapped
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KULGAM SEP 27:- A local JeN militant have been killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Ahwatoo area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said on Tuesday.
An official said that a joint of team of police and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.

He said that during exchange of fire, a local militant was killed so far while as operation is on in the area and one more militant is believed to be trapped.
