Fighter pilot killed in MiG-21 accident in Punjab, inquiry ordered
Press trust of Kashmir | Delhi :A pilot, Squadron leader, has been killed in an accident to India’s MiG-21 aircraft in Punjab, near Moga district late on Thursday.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a tweet, that there was an aircraft accident last night involving a Bison aircraft of IAF in the western sector.
“The pilot, Sqn Ldr Abhinav Choudhary, sustained fatal injuries. IAF condoles the tragic loss and stands firmly with the bereaved family,” the IAF tweeted.”
A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered to investigate the cause of the incident, it said.
The aircraft was on a routine training sortie when the accident happened.

Director Agriculture Kashmir Visits District Anantnag

Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal took an extensive visit of district
Anantnag and chaired a review meeting with officers and officials of the
District.
On this occasion Director Agriculture emphasized that awareness
with respect to different centrally sponsored schemes & flagship
programme among farmers hold key to the socio economic development
of the farming community.

He said that Department is making all the efforts
to shape up a knowledge based farming community. Technology undouble
is playing a magnificent role in farming sector but the role of proper
awareness can’t be ruled out, he said.
Director Agriculture informed the officers that department has
signed a MOU with JKHPMC for facilitating marketing of surplus produce of
farmers. He also said many more MOU’s of such kind are in the offing for
the benefit of farmers.
Later Chowdhary visited different Organic Vegetable Clusters,
Apiculture DCTC, Mushroom Units & recently installed Micro Irrigation
structures and impressed upon the officers and officials to put-in all efforts
and professional endeavour for making the agriculture sector glamorous,

remunerative and profitable. He instructed the officers and officers for
maintaining close contacts with the farmers and educate them about the
latest technological interventions in their field of interest so that significant
impact of the agriculture activities are harnessed.
Besides others Director Agriculture was accompanied by Joint
Director Agriculture Farms, Spices & Medicinal Plants Kounser Parween,
Deputy Director Law Enforcement Kashmir Mohammad Younis
