Illict timber seized in Kangan Ganderbal

Ganderbal June 13 (PTK) Forest protection force in Ganderbal has seized illegal illicit timber in compartment no 1 sindh range Kangan in Najwan area of Ganderbal district.

An official said that during night patrolling, a team of forest protection force and forest departments led by senior officials recovered 43 fts of timber from the area last Friday

He said that the illicit timber was seized and carted to seizure depot Ganderbal while as further investigations have been launched in this regard.

Pertinently this area has remained continuously in news as according to locals illegal illicit timber continues from last many months but on ground officials aren’t doing any thing.

Officials hardly bother to visit the area despite receiving complaints everyday, they said

According to PTK Reporter,They requested authorities to depute honest persons in the compartment

They also requested authorities to look into the matter at an earliest and save our green gold from further loot(PTK)
