After lockdown of 3 months, markets open in Kashmir
GANDERBAL (PTK) After a gap of around 3 months after lockdown was announced to stop spread of covid-19 , Srinagar and other places opened on Saturday.
However, as per eyewitnesses no rush of shoppers was witnessed as the first half of the day heavy rain and thunderstorm
Pertinently on Saturday, as per notification of Srinagar administration, hardware, furniture, furnishings, barbershops, etc opened.

They said we are taking care of the safety measures because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Shopkeepers said they were expecting a good rush of customers on Monday.
As per notification, readymade garment, cloth, cosmetics, shoes, electronics and jewellery shops have been asked to open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and shopkeepers are expecting rush on these days.
Rush will increase when authorities will resume public transport, shopkeepers said.
The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) had estimated looses at Rs. 17, 878 cr in the first 120 days after August 5, 2019, after abrogation of Article 370.
