HM’s announcement of ST status to Pahari’s:- Celebrations in parts of Ganderbal

Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar Oct 04:- People of chountwaliwar of district Ganderbal started celebrations over the announcement by Home Minister Amit Shah who announced that ST status to Pahari community will be given soon.
Farooq Qureshi Vice Chairperson J&K Pahari Welfare Front while thanking HM Amit shah said that Pahari’s have got freedom first time with his announcement and Gujjar, Bakerwal and Pahari are one and all will get benefit from it.
Soon all will get their rights as our 70 year old demand has been met , he said.

Syed Nazakat Khaleefa Chairman J&K Pahari Welfare Front and Qayoom Chowdary Resident. Of Chountwaliwar also thanked HM of India for announcing it.
Notably amid Cheers and slogans echoed as Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public gathering here on Tuesday and said that Gujjar, Bakarwal and Pahari communities will be soon given reservations.
“After the abrogation of 370A, the process for reservation has been cleared. Justice Sharma’s commission has sent the report and recommended reservation for Gujjar, Bakarwal and Pahari communities and it will be given soon,” said Shah.
