Heavy rains around holy cave triggered floods

Immediate alert sounded, situation under control

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR Srinagar July 26: Heavy rains around holy cave on Tuesday triggered floods, however, situation is under control.

Officials said that heavy rains in the high mountains around Holy Cave in Amarnath triggered floods in water body and surrounding springs at around 3 PM today.

They said that soon after heavy rains immediate alert was sounded and more than 4,000 pilgrims were taken out of the area safely till now.

They said that situation is fully under control and more pilgrims are being taken out to the safer places.
