Gunfight rages in central Kashmir’s Budgam

SRINAGAR, (PTK): An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Chatergam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on early Wednesday morning.

A joint team of army’s 50RR, CRPF and SOG cordoned off Chatergam upon receiving information about militants hiding in the area. While the forces intensified their search towards suspected house, the militants fired upon them triggering a gunfight.
