Gunfight raged in Kalantra Baramulla

Gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Kandi Kalantra area of Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning.
It is pertinent to mention that joint team of army’s 29 RR, SOG and CRPF besieged the area after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants Wednesday late afternoon m eanwhile gunshots were reported in the area however the contact wasnt established and due to bad weather and darkness the operation was halted for night hours.
However thursday morning the search operation was resumed as the forces intensified searches, the hiding militants fired few shots towards the forces triggering a gunfight.
Militant hideout was busted by security forces amid search operation yesterday itself.
