Gunfight breaks out in south Kashmir’s Awantipora

Press Trust of Kashmir| Srinagar: Police on Monday said that a gunfight broke out between the security forces and militants in Wandakpora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

“Encounter has started at Wandakpora area of #Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow” a police spokesman said.

The encounter is believed to have broken out after security forces cordoned the area following specific inputs.
