Gunfight breaks out in Rajouri Forests

Srinagar, 12 September (PTK) : A Gunfight broke out on Sunday morning between government forces and militants in forest area of Barote Village in Rajouri district of Jammu division.

Sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that a joint team of forces launched a cordon and search operation(CASO) after specific information about presence of militants in the forest area of Rajouri .

“As the government forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering a gunfight . Exchange of fire is going on, ” they said.

Meanwhile police and security forces are on the job and the gunfight is underway in the woods.(PTK).
