Gulmarg Gondola Operations Unaffected by Recent Incident, Say Authorities

SRINAGAR, Oct 25 – The Gondola lift and other tourist activities in Gulmarg are fully operational, authorities assured on Friday, easing concerns following recent reports of a temporary suspension.

Officials emphasized that last week’s terrorist incident in the Butapathri area occurred at a considerable distance from the popular Gulmarg tourist spot, having no direct impact on tourism. Reports suggesting that the Gondola cable car was shut down as a precautionary measure were dismissed; officials clarified that a brief halt was due to a technical issue, now fully resolved.

“We have addressed the technical glitch, and the Gondola is back to normal operations,” said an official. Currently, Gulmarg’s hotels, restaurants, and tourist services are bustling with visitors, enjoying both the scenic beauty and adventure activities at the resort.
