Death Toll Rises to 5 in Botapathri Terror Attack; Search Operation Underway

SRINAGAR: One more soldier succumbed to injuries, raising the death toll to five following a militant attack on an 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Army vehicle at Botapathri in Gulmarg, Baramulla district. The assault, which occurred Thursday evening, also left two others injured, including a civilian porter, who remain under treatment.

Security forces launched an extensive search operation in the area shortly after the attack, deploying drones and helicopters in an attempt to locate the assailants.
