Guest Lecture on Folk Research & Pedagogy Organized at GDC Tral

Tral, July 4, 2024: As part of its ‘Meet The Author’ initiative, the Department of English at Government Degree College (GDC) Tral on Thursday hosted a compelling Guest Lecture focused on Folk Research & Pedagogy, with a special emphasis on the Folk of Kashmir.
The event, held under the patronage of Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, Principal of GDC Tral, featured esteemed speaker Professor (Dr.) Nandani Sahu, Former Director of the School of Foreign Languages and Professor of English at IGNOU, New Delhi.
Professor Nandani Sahu delivered an enlightening discourse, providing profound insights into the nuances of folk research and pedagogical methods pertaining to Kashmiri folklore. Her expertise captivated the audience, predominantly comprising students eager to explore the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir.
The event also witnessed a Presidential Address by Professor Sandhya Tiwari from Central University of Kashmir, who emphasized the significance of such academic engagements. Throughout the lecture, students actively engaged with the subject matter, participating enthusiastically in interactive sessions and discussions.
Dr. Hilal Ahmad, in charge of the dais from the English Department at GDC Tral, ensured the smooth conduct of the event, facilitating an enriching learning experience for all attendees.
