Forces recover arms and ammunition in Kupwara

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Kupwara police on Tuesday claimed to have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in a joint operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police in Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A cordon-and-search operation was carried out at Hajam Mohalla Taad in the Karnah area near the Line of Control on Tuesday, a police official said.

He said during the search, a cache of arms and ammunition including 10 pistols, 17 pistol magzines, 54 pistol rounds and 5 grenades, the official said.

Case has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, he added.
