Fateh Kadal Gunfight: 2 militants, policeman, civilian killed

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Two militants, policeman, and civilian were killed during a gunfight in Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar district on Wednesday

An official said that two militants including Mehraj Bangroo, civilian and policeman were killed during a firefight.
He said that slain civilian was the son of the house owner in which militants were hiding.

He said that gunfight broke out between militants and the government forces in Fateh Kadal area of Downtown Srinagar early Wednesday.

He added a joint team of the state police and the CRPF cordoned off Fateh Kadal after “specific information” about the presence of some militants.

Meanwhile, all educational institutions have been closed and Internet suspended in the Srinagar district in view of the gunfight. (PTK)
