Encounter breaks out in Anantnag

Saringar June 03 (PTK) An Encounter has started between militants and Security forces in Kapran Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.

An official said that acting on specific information a joint team of Police and army’s 19RR launched a cordon and search operation in Kapran Verinag.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight. (PTK)
