PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR SEP 12:- A bear along with cub which was spotted in Rajbagh area of Srinagar has been restrained and threat to life and property has been averted.

An official of wildlife said that an eminent threat to life and property averted successfully as at around 2:00AM today Department of Wildlife Protection assisted by local Police & CRPF restrained the Bear with cub behind museum Lal Mandi Srinagar …

He said that the area is declared safe.

Meanwhile DC Srinagar said that after 21 hours non stop operation, Black Bear spotted yesterday in Rajbagh area has been tranquillised

Great job by the Team led by Wildlife Department and wrea has been scanned and sanitized besides that all educational institutions in the area shall open normally as per daily routine, he said.
