Elderly man injured in bear attack in boniyar Baramulla

Baramulla ,17 Oct (PTK): A 50-year-old man was injured after he was attacked by a bear in Tarkanjan Boniyar village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district here on Sunday

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that the man identified as Khurshid Ahmad Khan S/O Muzaffer Din Khan a resident of Hundi Tarkanjan of boniyar Boniyar Baramulla, was injured when he was attacked by a bear in an orchard in his native village.

The man, who suffered injuries on his head and forehead, was immediately rushed to PHC Boniyar for advanced treatment from where he was reffered to GMC Baramulla for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, a team of the wildlife department has been rushed to the spot to trace the wild bear, the official added. (PTK)
