District administration Ganderbal constitutes committee for survey of dangerous trees in district

Ganderbal May 17 (PTK)  District Administration Ganderbal on Tuesday constituted a committee for survey of dangerous trees/branches in district.

“In view of recent incidents of falling of tree branches causing threat to life and property, sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of committees headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ganderbal for Tehsil Ganderbal / Lar / Tullamulla / Wakura and Sub Divisional Magistrate for Tehsil Kangan / Gund, comprising of following officers, for survey of dangerous trees / branches (including chinar) which can be dangerous to life and property in the district.” Reads the order.

As per the order the survey officers include Chief Horticulture Officer, Ganderbal (Member), DFO Sindh, Division Ganderbal (Member), DFO Social Forestry Ganderbal (Member), Chinar Development Officer, Ganderbal (Member Secretary) ans Tehsildar of concerned Tehsil (Member)

The Terms of reference as per order include too identify the all dangerous trees / branches at road side and in habitation and to make full and final action plan for pruning of these trees / branches.

“The committee shall formulate the action plan and take appropriate necessary action in order to avoid any damage to life and property in the district and submit final Action Taken Report to the undersigned.” It adds. (PTK)
