Director SHD inspects Goat Units established under ISD Scheme

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR JAMMU, NOVEMBER 12: Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu, Krishan Lal today conducted a tour of rural areas and inspected the goat units of departmental beneficiaries.

 He inspected the two Goat Units of  Satish Kumar at Patyari Nud comprising 20 Goats each, and Kuldeep Singh  of  Penthi Sumb comprising   20 Goats each and established under the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme for the year 2022-23.

He also inspected one unit of Saleem Din of  Penthi Sumb comprising  20 Sheep  established/ approved in  the current fiscal and one unit of Shamsher Singh  of Penthi Sumb established under Integrated Sheep Development Scheme for the year 2021-22.

 While interacting with the beneficiaries, the Director stressed upon them to take the benefits of the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund Scheme so that the objectives of overall development of the Sheep Husbandry Sector can be achieved.

During the tour, the  Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu also inspected ongoing construction works at Mansar and Purmandal (Samba).

He also took stock of the working of the offices and asked the officers/officials to work with missionary zeal so that the down trodden section of the society associated with Sheep/ Goat rearing to get the benefit of the schemes undertaken by the department.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Dr. Satish Gangyal, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Samba and Shivali Sethi Deputy Director (P&S) Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu.
