DCO Ramban conducts inspection of medical stores
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 04: As part of Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Drug Control Officer Ramban, Imtiyaz Ahmed today conducted surprise inspection of medical stores in Chanderkote area to check the sale and maintenance of records with reference to narcotic and psychotropic drugs in area.
During the inspection, Posters were pasted on medical shops to aware the general public regarding ill effects of drug addiction.
The DCO instructed the Chemists not to sell narcotics and psychotropic drugs without a valid prescription.

The Chemists were also asked to record phone numbers of patients purchasing Narcotic/Psychotropic drugs and maintain a separate register for this purpose.
Further, directions were also given to put the stamp of Chemists on the original prescription and keep photocopies for records while selling Narcotic & Psychotropic Drugs.
