DC Ganderbal holds interactive session with Media fraternity
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR GANDERBAL, AUGUST 12: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired an interactive session with the media fraternity of Ganderbal to evoke feedback and suggestions from different stakeholders associated with the fraternity.
While interacting with them, the DC said that the media has a very positive and constructive role in delivering good governance by projecting and highlighting various public issues appropriately.
On the occasion, various media persons briefed the DC about the difficulties they are facing while covering events at ground level and shared their feedback on various matters.
Senior Journalists viz. Shah Aijaz and Ayaz Sofi while sharing their views said that District Ganderbal is the most peaceful district and the media has always played its positive role in this regard and are always striving for upholding its professionalism. They also complimented the DC for holding interactive meetings and described it as pride moments for the whole media fraternity of Ganderbal.

Complimenting the media persons for expressing their positive gesture, the DC said that the media is a significant pillar in democracy for deliverance of transparent and accountable governance to the people. He urged them to strive for improving the standard of journalism by reporting objectively.
Terming journalism as a noble profession, the DC suggested them to highlight the success stories of such persons who have excelled in any field so that they become motivation for youth.
Meanwhile, the DC also briefed them about various ongoing activities under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and urged them to participate actively in this campaign by hoisting the Tricolor flag on their homes from 13 August to 15 August 2022.
