DC B’pora chairs Block Diwas at Sumbal
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 21: The weekly Block Diwas was today held at Sumbal subdivision of Bandipora and was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmed.
Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDM Sumbal Dr. Bashir Ahmad Lone and officers of various line departments besides locals in large numbers attended the programme.
Public delegations, PRI members put forth several demands regarding augmentation of water supply, Electricity, Bridges, macadamization, PMAY, Drainage system and other essentials.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on coordination among PRIs and officials to percolate the benefit to the grassroots level besides directing the concerned officers to address the genuine demands immediately.

Dr. Owais also passed on spot directions for redressal of various issues and emphasized that public interaction mechanisms impart transparency in governance and promote responsive functioning of public entities.
He directed the officers to adopt a friendly attitude and resolve grievances of the public with priority.
