DC Anantnag conducts late night surprise check at District Hospital
Directs Principal, MS to ensure augmentation of casualty capacity
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 08: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom today conducted a late night surprise check of District Hospital Anantnag.
The DC inspected various sections of the hospital including casualty wards, IPD, Emergency, biochemistry lab, office area and medical ICU. He interacted with
the on duty staff as well as with several patients and enquired regarding the medical facilities being provided.

He also inspected the functioning of the heating facility and emphasized on maintaining hygienic conditions in the hospital as well on ensuring round the clock presence of doctors to ensure seamless medical care is provided to the patients.
The DC directed Principal, GMC Anantnag Dr Tariq Qureshi and MS to take immediate steps for augmenting the capacity of the casualty ward. He emphasized that patients come to the hospital with much hope and it is important to show empathy and concern while extending medical care.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Anantnag. Principal and MS DH Anantnag, professors from GMC Anantnag, doctors and paramedical staff were also present during the inspection.
