DAP constitutes committee for central kashmir to submit proposals for Constituting committees

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR OCT 11:- Democratic Azad Party on Tuesday constituted a committee for central to submit proposals for constituting district and zone level committees

“In continuation to the committees announced on 5 10 2022, as Chairman of the Democratic Azad Party. I have constituted the following committee of senior leaders of DAP to visit different districts of Central Kashmir Zone and submit their proposal for constituting Zonal and District Committees” Reads the party press release.

The Central Kashmir Zone includes Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal Districts and nominated members of committee include Abdul Gani Khan, Zahid Jaan, Mir Ruwais,Aamir Rasool and Kaisar Sultan Jin and more names will be added.

The Directions given to Hon’ble Members as per press release include all senior leaders, incharge for each Zone (consisting of 2 to 5 districts). should visit their Zones from 8th October to 18th October, all the leaders incharge for each zone shall visit each district headquarter in their respective Zones for 2-5 days depending on the size of the district, The team shall meet delegations of 3 to 6 blocks of each district daily and within 3-5 days should have meetings with delegations of all the blocks of that particular district, Each team shall complete this exercise of their respective zones within 7-10 days and while having discussions with the delegations, leaders shall select the President, office bearers and members for each zone and each district. After meeting all the delegations of the district, the leaders should recommend a panel of names for the Presidentship and office bearers for the zonal committee and district committees.

The criteria for the selection of president and office bearers of the Zonal committees and District committees include that each office bearer, particularly the president of the zone and district should be able to dedicate minimum 20 days per month for the party (especially till the elections are over) The office bearers, particularly the presidents of Zonal and District committees, must have their own transport to visit their respective areas, the President & Office bearers should be educated enough to receive and pass-on the messages in English, Hindi and Urdu (especially in English), The elected DDC members and office bearers should be part of the Zonal committees and BDC Chairmen, office bearers and members should be part of the District committees.

Youth representation in committees should be minimum of 50%, both as officer bearers and members, particularly the educated youths who are very eager to work in our party, Minimum 20% office bearers and members shall be women (only active workers and not just for the sake of representation) and Priority should be given to good orators and speakers for inclusion in zonal and district campaign committees.

All regions and castes should be given due representation in respective committees, These recommendations of the proposed Zonal/District committees should reach to the Chairman’s office / mobile (through WhatsApp) latest by 18th October, 2022, no team shall announce any such proposed Zonal/District committees, All the proposals submitted by the committees should remain confidential, once our zonal and district committees are constituted, zonal and district office bearers will be asked to go to the block and panchayat level to constitute the block committees and panchayat committees.

Additional Instructions include that Hon’ble members are requested to visit different districts of their respective zones and spend at least 2-4 days at each district headquarter from morning till late evening and meet block wise delegations (5 to 8 blocks every day), From each block the committee should ask block level delegations to give one name unanimously for the zonal general body committee and 2 to 3 names for district general body committee, Hon’ble members shall also propose the tentative names for the district and zonal officer bearers on merit basis and on the basis of the guidelines indicated in earlier letter. For example, the officer bearer should be able to give time and should have their own transport arrangements. However, that doesn’t mean that those who don’t have transport will not be accommodated. They will be accommodated respectfully and honorably, but the office-bearers who will be assigned the task of traveling within the zone or within district necessarily must have their own transport arrangements and should be available most of the time for party works, As indicated earlier that due representations should be given to SC, ST (both Hindus and Muslims), women and other backward classes. 5. 50-80% new people (both young and elders) should be incorporated in these committees, Usually there is a tendency to repeat the old faces and we should avoid this trend and make drastic changes in the new setup by allowing maximum new faces to join the party.
