CSC-VLE organised Workshop on Digital Services at B’la
DC presided over the programme: Call CSCs Vital Links for realising Digital India Ambition
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 14: In line with ambitious goals envisaged under the Pan India ‘Digital India Mission’, Common Service Centres (CSC) in collaboration with District Administration Baramulla today organised a daylong workshop on e-services which aimed to display and disseminate awareness about various digital services that can be delivered by virtue of these CSCs.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar presided over the workshop as the chief guest where as Joint Director Planning, M.Yousuf participated as the guest of honour.
On the occasion, State Co-ordinator CSC/VLE Shahnawaz Ahmad briefed about the range of services that can reach to the public via CSC/VLEs and added that these centres are taking lead in delivering some of important services which include Banking Service, PM- Jan Arogya Yojana ( PM SEHAT), Tele-Law, PMG Disha, Micro ATM, Insurance, Social Security Schemes among others.

He also informed that some important courses like CSE Academy Course and Digital Literacy Course are being undertaken by the CSCs which has the potential to up-skill our youth thereby enhancing their employability.
Dr. Sehrish, in her address applauded the concerned stakeholders and said that CSCs constitute vital links in realising the ambitious Digital India Mission. She said that our endeavour shall emphasize on strengthening different CSCs/VLEs so that the system of public service delivery is streamlined at the grass roots levels.
She also said that Model CSCs shall be developed which will provide different e-services in a more augmented and diversified manner.
Moreover, the DC urged upon the CSC operators to ramp up the process of enrollment of people under different individual beneficiary schemes, especially saturating registration of Golden Cards, adding that several initiatives have been taken on the part of district administration to achieve saturation in all other schemes.
