Discusses current situation, developmental issues, unprecedented price hike
Press Trust of Kashmir | Dooru : (Verinag). The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Tuesday discussed current situation in a party meeting, besides debating on developmental issues and unprecedented price hike in petrol, diesel and other essentials.
Addressing prominent party workers, block presidents, DDC members, BDC Chairman, Sarpanchs and Panchs at Omoh Verinag, JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir received feed-back about the developmental and other local issues concerning people in Dooru and elsewhere and expresses serious concern over the hardships confronting people due to lack of developmental, urging the Govt to speed up the work to complete the under construction projects, without any further delay.
Addressing the meeting JKPCC President expressed serious concern over the difficulties on account of local issues concerning people in Dooru and elsewhere and blamed the Govt for failing to address the developmental needs in J&K.
Tthe developmental scenario in J&K received set back since the BJP Govt assumed power at Centre, as that, the projects started during UPA I& UPA II in J&K have come to stand still, the irony is that many under construction roads and other projects reportedly awaiting completion for a long, Mir rued.
JKPCC President also blamed the Centre for unprecedented price hike in petrol, diesel and other essentials and hit out at the Centre for failing people on this count.
The situation is extremely disturbing due to unprecedented price hike in the country, JKPCC President added and demanded roll back of the prices.
Mir said despite the hue and cry, the Centre Govt is not ready to listen to people or roll back the prices, which has caused immense hardships to people, the day is not far when people will be forced to abandon their vehicles and walk by foot to reach their destination, he warned and reiterated that Centre Govt must roll back prices to ensure that the unnecessary burden on the people is reversed.(PTK).
