Civil Defence awareness programme held in GHSS (Boys) Kathua
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KATHUA, AUGUST 20: A Civil Defence Awareness program was today organised in Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), Kathua.
Sandeep Siotra, Assistant Commissioner, (ACR) Revenue Department graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with other dignitaries.
Dhyan Chand, Ex M.L.A. Chief Warder, Civil Defence, Sarabhjeet Singh, Deputy Controller SDRF, Dev Raj, Manager SBI Kathua were among the other dignitaries present on the occasion.

The dignitaries presented their valuable suggestions and inputs regarding the programme. The Chief Guest, Sandeep Siotra also expressed his views regarding the significance of Civil Defense and made the attendees aware of aims and objectives of conducting such awareness programs in educational institutions. He advised the students to take care of their health along with their academic activities. He said that the same can be achieved by balancing their routines and following a time table which has dedicated time for all activities crucial to the life of a student.
He also advised the students to follow a nutritious diet and refrain from evils such as drug addiction and over dependence on mobile etc. He said that it is equally important for a student to have sound mental and physical fitness.
The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by Sanjeev Vaid, Principal, GHSS Kathua, who expressed his gratitude to the visiting dignitaries and all attendees for making the programme a success. The program ended with a round of refreshments for all the attendees.
