SRINAGAR: One-day orientation cum hand-holding session on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was conducted at AMNT School in Ramban, spearheaded by the Chief Medical Officer of Ramban. The workshop aimed to create awareness about ABDM, a groundbreaking initiative designed to revolutionize the digital health infrastructure of the nation.

In a statement issued to news agency Press Trust of Kashmir that, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission seeks to build the essential framework required to support the integrated digital health ecosystem in India, bridging gaps among various stakeholders in the healthcare system through the use of digital highways. The implementation of ABDM is anticipated to bring about a substantial improvement in the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of health service delivery on a nationwide scale.

One of the key features of ABDM is its focus on empowering patients. Individuals will have the ability to securely store and access their medical records, including prescriptions, diagnostic reports, and discharge summaries. This information can be easily shared with healthcare providers, ensuring accurate treatment and seamless follow-up care. Patients will also gain access to more precise details about health facilities and service providers, enabling them to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

In addition to these advancements, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission will open up new avenues for remote healthcare services. Tele-consultations and e-pharmacies will allow individuals to access healthcare services from the comfort of their homes, promoting convenience and efficiency.

By providing individuals with accurate information, ABDM aims to enhance informed decision-making and increase the accountability of healthcare providers. The workshop held today at AMNT School in Ramban is a crucial step towards creating awareness and ensuring the successful implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, ultimately ushering in a new era of digitized healthcare in India.
