As number of local militants decline, foreign are getting exposed:- D P pandey

Srinagar May 03 (PTK) As number of local militants is decreasing, foreigner militants are coming for attacks and getting killed, GOC 15 corps D P Pandey said on Monday.

He said that majority of these non local militants here have remained quite & we’re putting local youth as the face of militants here.

He said that as numbers of local militants decreased, they’re now getting exposed & contacts are happening, Lt General DP Pandey said.

This year only one infiltration attempt was made from across the border & it was foiled, he said.

Militants have not been able to breach our anti-infiltration grid, he added.

We are finding them and they’re not in large numbers, he said, adding that we’ve also changed our rules of engagement & procedures. It’s not a big challenge, he said while commenting on finding night vision and other devices with militants. (PTK)
