Army organises four day workshop on health and hygiene in Ganderbal
Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar Nov 03:- Army in Central kashmir has organized four day workshop on health ang hygiene.
An official said that to foster awareness about health and hygiene to young girls,Ganderbal RR under the aegis of Manasbal Sector in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Regional Centre, Chandigarh concluded a four days *Workshop on Health and Hygiene* at Khaliqa Square town under COB of Dodarhama on 03 Nov 2022.
The sessions in the workshops were interactive and the participants took keen interest in the sessions which were followed by an equally long question & answer session wherein various aspects related to not only overall health but also about diet, exercise, yoga,fitness and mental well-being were discussed at length, he said.
He added that the sessions were based on activity based Learning and various interactive methodologies such as bead exercise, demonstration, case study analysis, visualization,model display, story telling etc. were used to make the participants aware of their own body and its functioning .
The resource person of the workshop was Ms. Sheela Sharma from RGNIYD RC Chandigarh. The participants were also taught to keep their body in peak condition for both sports as well as studies. In addition to the aforementioned, the topic of leadership skills, assertive communication, resource and time management were also covered in the session, he said.
Total attendees in the workshop was 56 women, he said, adding that the overwhelming interest shown by all attendees was heartening as it shows the positive inclination of the young girls in the area towards constructive activities. The event was concluded with an informal interaction over tea wherein the attendees thanked the Army and RGNIYD for taking genuine interest in the betterment of the citizens. Such initiatives by the Army go a long way in strengthening the bond between CITIZENS & JAWAN.
