‘Raja Shah Killing Case’: SIA Conducts Raids in South Kashmir

Srinagar, May 14: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) initiated raids on eleven locations in South Kashmir as part of the ongoing investigation into the killing of a non-local vendor, Raja Shah, by terrorists in Bijbehara.

According to a top official told news agency Press Trust of Kashmir that, the SIA operations are currently underway across various parts of South Kashmir. The searches are linked to FIR no. 87 of 2024, which was originally registered at the Bijbehara Police Station and later transferred to the SIA Kashmir for further investigation.

Raja Shah, hailing from Bihar, was fatally shot by terrorists in April. He was engaged in vending activities in the region.

The raids, spanning across Anantnag, Shopian, and Kulgam districts, are being conducted under the authority of search warrants issued by the Special Court. The official emphasized that these actions are a crucial part of the ongoing efforts to unearth the truth behind the tragic incident.

The case has drawn attention not only due to the loss of an innocent life but also because of its implications for the security situation in the region. The SIA’s proactive stance underscores the commitment to ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law in Kashmir.

The investigation continues, with authorities determined to bring those responsible for Raja Shah’s untimely demise to justice.
