Police attaches 3 double storey residential houses of drug peddlers in Awantipora

Awantipora, April 22: In a major crackdown against drug peddlers, the Awantipora Police have taken action by attaching three double-storied residential houses valued at approximately Rs 71,58,010. These houses belong to three notorious drug peddlers identified as Shabir Ahmad Parray, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, and Ishfaq Amin Bhat from Chersoo area. Police said that the properties were found to be illegally acquired through illicit drug trafficking. They said that the investigation, led by Inspector Zahoor Ahmad and supervised by SP Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, revealed the involvement of these individuals in various drug-related cases. “Shabir Ahmad Parray has been implicated in FIR Nos. 41/2010 and 54/2023 under the NDPS Act,” Police said. Similarly, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat is connected to case FIR No. 54/2023, and Ishfaq Amin Bhat is involved in FIR Nos. 183/2010, 197/2016, and 51/2020 under the NDPS Act,” they added.
