Five Booked Under Public Safety Act In Jammu And Kashmir’s Baramulla

Five individuals have been apprehended under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police, determined to curb anti-national activities, took stringent action against the accused, obtaining formal detention orders from the appropriate authority.

The accused, identified as Asif Ali Bhat, Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat, Waseem Mehraj Farash, Bashir Ahmad Sualiah, and Bilal Ahmad Dar alias Shakir, have been implicated in various incidents deemed detrimental to national security. Following their detention, they have been transferred to District Jail Udhampur and Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.

According to a police spokesman, the detained individuals have a history of involvement in activities disrupting law and order, as well as subversive actions. Despite previous encounters with the law, they persisted in engaging in anti-national and anti-social endeavors.

This move by the authorities underscores their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region, as well as their resolve to hold accountable those who threaten the stability and integrity of the nation.
