DC B’la chairs Regional Transport Authority meet
Discusses Route Permit, other issues for smooth regulation of Traffic Movement
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 12: To ensure proper regulation of commercial transport on town roads and finalise routes for their operationalisation, a meeting of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar at DC Office, here.
On the occasion, the DC after having threadbare discussion accorded approval for the operation of commercial services in the district after issuance of LA particularly on the hungry routes where availability of public transport facility is meagre.

The DC also directed ARTO Sopore to conduct an exercise for finalizing an efficient and effective traffic management for providing route permits to combat traffic issues in the town.
Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed measures being taken to overcome traffic jams to ensure smooth regulation of traffic movement in the town and provide better transport services to the people.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Rayees Mohammad Bhat; Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Assistant Regional Transport Officer Sopore, Anis Ahmad Wani besides other concerned Officers were present in the meeting.
