Daylong SVEEP outreach programme held for ELCs at Budgam

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR BUDGAM, AUGUST 01: The District Administration Budgam in collaboration with Chief Education Office Budgam today held a daylong workshop for functioning of Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELC), under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall, here.

On the occasion, resource persons highlighted the importance of electoral process and participation of every eligible citizen in strengthening the Democracy in the country.

Awareness on  enrolment of young voters who qualified the age of voting and to educate the participants about the electoral process and about the importance of their right to exercise franchise under the democratic process was also held on the occasion.

They also sensitized the participants including  School Nodal Officers from Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools on creating massive awareness on drug de-addiction and environmental degradation issues in all schools under these programmes.
