FAA candidates protest over rumours of scrapping selection list
Srinagar July 14 (PTK) Dozens of candidates who have already qualified exam for the post of Finance Account Assistant (FAA) held by the Jammu & Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) held a protest on Press Colony over the rumours of scrapping selection list.
There are rumours that the FAA selection list maybe scrapped as it alleged that some candidates may have cheated in the exam, said protesting candidates while raising slogans and demanding justice.
After working hard together and going through very tough times, we have managed to qualify the exam and if this list will be scrapped where will we people go, they said.
“If some candidates have cheated in the exam, why should everyone among the selected candidates pay the price for their mistake and authorities must identify the candidates who have cheated and take action against them, they said.
The rumours of scrapping this list is giving us sleep less nights as after getting selected we thought our employment vows have ended.
Scrapping of list will leave a thousand youth unemployed, disheartened and disappointed as candidates have been already facing mental issues, they added.
They requested LG administration to take note of alleged mismanagement in the JKSSB .
It is pertinent to mention, the JKSSB had advertised posts for the Finance Account Assistant (FAA), Junior Assistant, Sub Auditor and other positions in December 2020 and later merit list was published in April this year.(PTK)
