Villagers Rescue Two Baby Bears In Bandipora Village, Villagers in Gamroo village located in the outskirts of Bandipora town were amazed to find two bear cubs playing on the roadside Friday morning.

Press trust of Kashmir | Bandipora: Villagers in Gamroo village located in the outskirts of Bandipora town were amazed to find two bear cubs playing on the roadside Friday morning.

 

Within few minutes, hundreds of locals gathered at the spot to see the playful cubs. Some even offered bananas to the baby bears, locals who witnessed the events said.

Unable to find the mother of babies after a search for few hours, the locals handed over the cubs to wildlife officials. Meanwhile, the mother bear was also spotted in the village some distance away.

However, as the people were panic strike, the Bear escaped into the wild and as per officials, the teams are set up to catch hold of the wild bear.

The locals said though Bears entering into the villages is a common sight but in areas close to the forests.

 

“The presence of bears in densely populated village alongside the town peripheries is indeed surprising and raises questions as to what prompted them to descend so deep in the village,” a curious local expressed.(PTK).

SRINAGAR, May 28:  In a statement issued on Friday, DDC Tangmarg and Apni Party Youth-Vice President advocate Mir Tajamul Ishfaq said that six doctors of medical block Tangmarg have been deputed to Covid duty during past few months despite the Covid case load of Tangmarg being highest in district Baramulla.

The already deficit of doctors in medical block Tangmarg and the recent deputation of doctors has left many medical sections defunct causing people of the area to suffer more.

“In order to show BMO Pattan and Medical Block Pattan in good light, Tangmarg Medical Block has to bear the brunt,” Mir deliberated.

Mir further said that the CMO Baramulla Dr Deeba will be solely responsible for the death of any person from Tangmarg due to medical negligence and lack of timely medical intervention.(PTK).
