Press Trust Of Kashmir | SRINAGAR: Former Cabinet Minister and Apni Party Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir on Friday Paid rich tributes to Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone for their unstinted efforts in imparting education in Jammu & Kashmir.

In his statement, Mir lauded their contributions and said that the militants killed both of these revered leaders for just having a different political view.

“It’s a stark gloomy reality that their difference of opinion was dealt with by brutal violence and their voices were haplessly silenced,” he observed.

Furthermore, Mir said both of the deceased leaders were immensely concerned about eliminating ignorance from the Kashmiri society and strived hard to impart contemporary education among the youth.

“Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq was a renowned Islamic scholar, who would always immerse himself in disseminating the peaceful message of Islam while Abdul Gani Lone sahab busied himself for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden.

He would be invariably at the forefront raising issues of the public interest,” he remarked.

Ghulam Hassan Mir also prayed for the eternal peace to these towering personalities and said that their immense contributions along with raising voices against the tide will be remembered for times to come.

 

Farooq Andrabi Welcomes Approval for Chadoora Bus Terminal

‘The prompt implementation of the project remains imperative for public welfare’

SRINAGAR, May 20: Apni Party Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi on Thursday extolled the approval by the Commissioner Secretary ULB and In-charge Administrative Secretary district Budgam for the construction of a Bus terminal at Chadoora.

In a statement issued here, Andrabi thanked the Lt. Governor of J&K, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Commissioner Secretary and Deputy Commissioner Budgam for reciprocating with the long pending demand of the locals in Chadoora.

“I heartily welcome this decision as it resonates with the public demand. The people had already allocated 35 Kanals of land for this much needed project. I felicitate the people of Chadoora-Budgam over this important decision

that will help the daily commuters and traders to travel hassle-free to other districts without facing any inconvenience,” he said.

Furthermore, he urged the administration to initiate the construction work over the proposed bus terminal project at an earliest so that the sufferings of the people are mitigated as soon as possible.

“Such a bus terminal is supremely essential for inter-district transportation and thus apart from the approval, a prompt implementation of the project remains highly imperative. Therefore,

I earnestly appeal to the administration to carry out the requisite construction on a war-footed basis so that the woes of the common people are alleviated,” he demanded.(PTK)
