District Police Kulgam solved Hit and Run case; accused arrested within three hours
Press trust of Kashmir|Kulgan: information was received at Police Post Mirbazar from reliable sources that two persons who were moving on Vehicle (Motorcycle) bearing registration No. JK03J-2738 was hit by unknown vehicle; resulting grievous injuries to the persons and they are lying on road in unconscious state at Ganjipora on NHW area of Mirbazar. On tip off police party reached the place of occurrence where the bodies of persons whose identity was ascertained as, Shahid Ahmad Malla S/O Abdul Rashid Malla and Majid Rashid Ganai S/O Abdul Rashid Ganai the residents of Bongund Dooru were lying on road as their death was resulted on spot after they were hit by the vehicle and the driver of vehicle fled away from spot along with vehicle.
Taking cognizance of the incident, a case with FIR No. 116/2021 U/S 279, 304 IPC was registered at Police Station Qazigund and a special police team of Police Post Mirbazar led by I/C PP Mirbazar Sub Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of SHO Qazigund Insp. Irshad Reshi and SDPO Qazigund Shri. Govind Rattan-JKPS was constituted instantly to nab the culprits, after hectic efforts the accused driver of the vehicle namely, Mohd Hussain Tantray S/O Abdul Rahim Tantray R/O Furra was arrested within three hours after information was recieved by Police Post Mirbazar from Furra and vehicle bearing Registration number JK03G-7799 (Wagnor Car) was also recovered and seized.

SRINAGAR, MAY 29:- The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited Covid-19 Testing Facility Centers and took stock of ongoing covid testing. On the occasion the Div Com directed the testing teams to work with more zeal and dedication at the center so that people visiting Center for Covid-19 tests do not face any inconvenience He also directed for ensuring strict adherence to the Covid-19 SOPs at the Center.
The Div Com also urged them to maintain an inventory of all the tests conducted on a daily basis and ensure its timely submission to the Divisional Covid Control Room. During the visit, the Div Com was accompanied by senior health functionaries and other officers of civil administration
