Forces will keep thwarting militant attempts:- DG CRPF zulfkar Hassan

Twreath-laying ceremony of two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in a militant attack in Baramulla on August 17 was held in Budgam on Tuesday.

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, who was also present there paid tributes to the jawans who were killed during attack.

“A militant attack on the joint party of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police took place yesterday. The CRPF team responded well and reinforcements from SOG (Special Operations Group) and Army also arrived in which two militants were also killed. We are here to pay tribute to our jawans who laid down their lives, their sacrifice will not go in vain,” Bhatnagar said.

Special Director General (DG), CRPF Kashmir, Zulfikar Hassan, meanwhile, said that the security forces will keep thwarting militant attempts in the region.

“Our operations are still ongoing in all areas, we will keep giving a befitting response to the militants. The CRPF, Indian Army, and Jammu and Kashmir police are in this together,” Hassan said.

Two CRPF men, two army men and one policeman besides three militants were killed during attack which turned into encounter in the Kreeri area.(PTK)
