Free Cancer Detection, Medical Camp Organised in Kupwara
Kupwara, May 09 (PTK): A free cancer detection and medical camp was organised at Galzoo Ground in Kupwara by Quality Healthcare Hospital Drugmullah in collaboration with the Indian Army and the civil administration for the welfare of patients.
The camp focused on screening and diagnosis of cancer patients by a specialised team of oncologists led by Ashok Kumar. Organisers said the initiative provided patients with expert consultation, precise diagnosis and medical guidance.

More than 50 cancer patients attended the camp among over 400 beneficiaries who availed medical services from doctors representing multiple specialities including gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, general medicine, audiometry and gynaecology.
The camp also offered free medical testing facilities and free distribution of medicines through a dedicated pharmacy unit.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara also visited the camp and urged people to utilise such healthcare initiatives while promoting the vision of a “Nasha Mukht and Rog Mukht Bharat.”
A special awareness session on menstrual hygiene and personal cleanliness was also organised for girl students and madrasa students during the programme.
Officials said the overwhelming public response reflected the growing trust between the people and the security forces while strengthening community welfare initiatives in the district.(PTK)
