JOSH- Joint Squad for Health launched in Jammu Division under TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
JAMMU, OCTOBER 08(PTK): As part of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the JOSH Joint Squad for Health consisting of TB Mukt Bharat Teams- My Bharat Volunteers and NCC Cadets were formally launched today across Jammu Division, coinciding with the national level launch by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare J. P. Nadda.
Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Poonam Sethi, along with the entire team of the Directorate of Health Services Jammu, launched the JOSH Teams at the DHS Complex.
The newly constituted JOSH Teams comprise five NCC cadets and five My Bharat Volunteers, who will actively contribute to the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan by supporting TB awareness, community mobilisation and other activities aimed at strengthening the campaign at the grassroots level.
The initiative seeks to harness the enthusiasm and commitment of young volunteers and NCC cadets to spread awareness about TB, encourage timely testing and treatment, and contribute towards the goal of a TB-free India. JOSH teams were also launched across all the districts of Jammu division by respective Nodal Officers in their respective Headquarters.(PTK)
