We never give poor people wrong hope and in a house where women have started earning, there is overall development, said Indu Kanwal Chib Mission Director JK NRLM said.
She said 5 lakh 23 thousand households are connected with us and if our schemes won’t have reached to ground then how would such number of people connected with us.
We have covered over 112 erstwhile block and all 125 will covered this year, she said, adding that all our camp officials will wear all uniform made by Umeed with better rate and quality.
We have entered in gift hamper as well and many items are being made, she said
She emphasized that the Community based organizations (CBOs) shall develop their vision on different themes which will not only cater to the enhancement of livelihoods but also on different social issues like Food, Nutrition, Health, Wash , Gender , social inclusion and Social development, Besides the TOTs will also be trained in effective managing of the operations of CBOs by the Community itself.
She added that the basic aim of the training programme is to provide last mile support to the community to make the community institutions completely self-reliant and self sustainable.
She further said that the initiative is aimed at strengthening the CBOs in dealing with external agencies, achieving bargaining power and building the ability to interface with other institutions and legal authorities.
All the required financial & technical resources are being facilitated by the Mission, she said.
She further added that this initiative is in synchronization with the “SHG Federation Vision 2030” i.e. to enable the CBOs to function as autonomous and independent institutions and emerge as viable member owned, managed institution by grooming the local women leadership.:-PTK.
