25-Year-Old Youth From Nowgam Shangus Dies Of Electrocution In Srinagar

Anantnag , August 5 (PTK): A 25-year-old youth from Nowgam (Shangus) died due to electrocution in Central Kashmir area of Srinagar district on Wednesday.

A police officer told PTK that Jawad Ahmad Bhat son of Ali Mohammad Bhat of Nowgam village of Anantnag received an electric shock after he doing some reparing in water pump when he came in contact with a live wire at the industrial area of Srinagar on late night yesterday.

Jawad Ahmad was immediately taken to nearby hospital in an unconscious state where doctors declared him dead on arrival, the officer said.

After completing all legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites, he added. (PTK)
