0.15 percent hike in budget is akin to adding insult to injury for Jammu and Kashmir- AIP

Srinagar, 4th February: Calling out the BJP for their cosmetic measures and classical chicanery, Awami Itehad Party today denounced the insensitive approach of current day Government.

After causing tremendous damage to Kashmiri businesses, a thirty crore rupees annual budget sans any special financial assistance package for revival of business community is absolutely meaningless.

Party Spokesperson , Sheeban Ashai termed the hike of 0.15% in budget an evil joke on the struggling economy of Jammu and Kashmir. The present day Government is shouting from rooftops as if they have done the greatest favour to Kashmiris by introducing a minimum increase in annual budget .

After causing damage of nearly twenty thousand crores and robbing more than a lakh people of their jobs by carrying out the unconstitutional, undemocratic and criminal abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A, it seems as if its a stratergy of Modi Government to make Kashmiri businesses further suffer by delaying and denying a special financial assistance package.

Apart from the use of Kashmiri poetry for theatrics, there is nothing in the budget for Kashmiris. Awami Itehad Party impresses upon the current Government and reiterates its demand for an economic package of the tune of minimum fifty thousand crores for revival of private businesses in Kashmir.
