Youth from Ganderbal Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances in Chandigarh

SRINAGAR: A young man from Ganderbal district, Salik Bhat, son of Naseer Ahmad Bhat of Bhatpora, Safapora, was found unconscious in his hostel room at a private university in Chandigarh, Punjab. Salik, a B.Sc. Nursing student, was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

The family was informed of the tragic news through a call, prompting them to depart for Chandigarh to bring back his body after official formalities are completed.

An official close to the case stated, “The cause of death is not yet known, and the exact reason will only be determined after the medico-legal formalities.” The tragic incident has plunged Salik’s family and community into grief as they await further details on the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
