Woman, Two Children Rescued After Jumping into Canal in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, April 10 (PTK): A woman and her two children were rescued after they jumped into a water canal in the Wurpash area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday.

Officials informed PTK that the woman, identified as Tasleema, along with her son and daughter, leapt into the canal under unclear circumstances.

Prompt action by locals and police led to their timely rescue. All three were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where their condition is reported to be stable.

Authorities are investigating the incident to ascertain the reasons behind the act. —(PTK)
