Wife killed, husband injured in Anantnag road accident

SRINAGAR JULY(PTK)A woman was killed while her husband suffered injuries on Sunday in a road accident in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

An official said that a woman was killed while her husband was injured when they were traveling on a motorcycle and were hit by a tipper in the district.

They said that a tipper (JK13-6484) hit a motorcycle (JK03G-7099) in Danipawa area of the district, leaving a woman dead.

The deceased was identified as Nasreena Banoo, wife of Javid Ahmad Khan of Wangam Shangus area of Anantnag district.

Officials said that her husband Javid Ahmad Khan, who was driving the motorcycle also got critically wounded in the accident and was shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment in critical condition.

Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of this accident and further investigation is going on.
