Tragedy Strikes Achabal, Anantnag as Man Dies of Electrocution

 

SRINAGAR (PTK): A somber incident unfolded in Shelipora area of Achabal, located in the picturesque region of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. A 38-year-old man, identified as Sabzar Ahmad Sofi, met a tragic end when he suffered a fatal electrocution. The incident, caused by an unfortunate encounter with a high-voltage HT electric wire, has left the community in shock and mourning.

The victim, Sabzar Ahmad Sofi, was the son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganaie, a resident of Sheilpora Achabal. Sources report that tragedy struck when Sabzar Ahmad Sofi inadvertently came into contact with the live electric wire, resulting in a high voltage shock that proved fatal. The impact of the electrocution was immediate and severe, leaving little chance for intervention.

Swift action was taken as Sabzar was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the young man was declared brought dead upon arrival.
